Pure Play Retailers Outperform Multichannel Rivals in the Very First eChannel Retail Benchmark

Online and mobile eChannel?s are now playing a vital role in multichannel strategies. The latest eCustomerServiceIndex results shows that 51% of all UK consumers now own a smartphone and in a five month period last year, Marks and Spencer reported seeing 1.2 million visitors to their mobile site alone, leading to 13,000 orders.
Comparing top retailer?s performance across their website, mobile site and transactional mobile app, eDigitalResearch found that top performing pure play retailers are tailoring each of their eChannel?s accordingly but still applying the same recognisable and traditional branding and design.
Online favourite Amazon topped the overall league table with a customer satisfaction score of 86%. Results show that users liked the clear branding, similar format and consistency across all of Amazon?s eChannel?s, helping it to score top marks for both their online and mobile site offerings. Pure play fashion giant ASOS came second with an overall score of 84% after providing the highest rated transactional mobile app. Next, Tesco and Asda make up the rest of the top five.
The results also found that eRetail websites continue to outperform their mobile counterparts. Users often became frustrated with keyword searches and product pages when using a mobile site or app due to the fiddly nature of a smaller screen and a lack of features, such as customer reviews and multiple images. To overcome these issues, retailers need to be implementing the latest features and technologies, such as predictive text in search bars, to make the entire customer journey as simple and simple as possible.
Derek Eccleston, Head of Research at eDigitalResearch, clarified, ?This is an vital and exciting time for the retail industry. The dramatic rise of mobile has been customer led, with more and more people lacking to use their smartphones to shop and browse. So I have been trying to plot a disney planet vacation package in Orlando Florida. What is the best and cheapest approach for this? The things I want is that I get flight and Hotel and also tickets to the the four theme parks. Is it better to buy the tickets and hotel together separately and then buy the theme park tickets from somewhere else? Which website is the best to get the theme park tickets? I am looking into Expedia and travelzoo so far for the flight and hotel packages. And is it right that the disney park tickets have to come in the mail even if you buy them online? Sport Court? has been elected as the official playing surface of the United States Youth Futsal and United States Adult Futsal, the official governing body for futsal in the United States and the only futsal league sanctioned for futsal by U. S. Soccer, the national governing body of soccer.
Sport Court will provide high-performance surfaces for the United States Youth Futsal?s National Championships in Kansas City Missouri, to be held over the President?s Day Weekend?Feb. 17 through 20?in 2012.
Six Response? futsal courts totaling more than 43,000 square feet will be supplied for the event, which will bring youth futsal players from across the US. The championships will be played all under one roof at the Overland Park Convention Center.
John Evade, Administration Director of U.S. Futsal, said Sport Court was elected for its playability as well as the safety. ?When the official governing body of futsal needed a partner we elected the best,? said Evade.

Futsal is the only form of indoor soccer endorsed by FIFA. It earned the status of FIFA?s official form of indoor soccer in the 1980s as it was recognized as a scaled down version of outdoor soccer played indoors. It is a 5 v 5 small-sided game played on a hard surfaced, basketball sized court with a smaller, heavier low bounce ball. Futsal is played with touchline boundaries and without walls.
In addition to supplying the surfaces here in the United States, Sport Court was also chosen by the Asian Football Integration to supply the surfaces for their futsal championship. The AFC hosts the largest futsal championship in the planet.
