i am a poor college student, but am looking to get away sometime in february with a friend.
im interested in about a 3-5 nighttime vacation, preferably somewhere near the ocean. a place similar to cancun mexico or a tropical-type place would be ideal.
but, my financial statement is very low. i am hoping to find a package where the airfare and hotel combined are about 400 dollars or less per person. is this unrealistic?
what are the best websites that can really help me find a excellent deal? most of the websites i’ve browsed so far are either hard to navigate or give me outrageous prices.

That’s odd. With the drug related violence in Mexico tourists are staying away in record numbers and the travel industry is an absolute disaster. You should be able to find incredible deals. Perhaps try some of the alternative websites directly and kayak.com nearly permanently comes up with the best airfare available.

Travelocity is a bit of a rip off… hotels.com is OK, but there aren’t many excellent flights available… waaah… someone help plz

I want to take a trip with someone special from MN to seattle WA, I want to take amtrak . Should i go with the amtrak vacation package or book hotel and sites myself. I suggest the vacation package as that way you are sure
you have all, lots of time having the package deal
is a lot cheaper then try to book all separately

I’m currently plotting a trip to L.A./Anaheim with a friend. We are coming from New York to go to a music festival there. So I place in all our info in Orbitz and according to it, we can get a week for about $ 420 per person and that includes airfare/hotel. It says it’s one of Orbitz special offers and you get 30% off. Even the other hotels aren’t a terrible price. Has anyone else used Orbitz vacation packages, are there gonna be a bunch of hidden costs when we get to the airline or hotel. Any info from people about Orbitz packages would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

There shouldn’t be any hidden fees as far as my encounter is concerned. Orbitz also has a price swear an oath stating that if you find a cheaper rate elsewhere, they’ll give you the difference. Before you book I would also try out to see if there are any promotions or coupons to your destination. Try out out site like http://www.couponloco.com/coupons/orbitz.aspx or just google up orbitz coupons

Some hotels sell tickets in their front lobby. If you stay at Disney you can get your Disney tickets included, but not Sea Planet. Some timeshares offer tickets to Sea Planet and Disney, you just have to try out what they offer.
I don’t know, off the top of my head, of a alternative that offers tickets for both, unless you buy them when you get there. As far as an actual package where you get extras, unless you do a timeshare I don’t know of any.
The only thing you can do is go to a travel agency and tell them what you are looking for. They can place all together for you so you have it all at once. Not sure if that is what you are looking for, but I reckon that would be your best bet.
